Institute of psychology and education KFU initiated unique study of social and professional values of teachers from post-Soviet countries in order to find their similarities and find out the factors that could affect the appearance of changes in the system of social and professional values. The given results will allow developing of optimal teacher training program in the framework of StrAU “Teacher of the 21^st century”, that could be used in Russian and foreign pedagogical universities. It is planned to conduct study jointly with the colleagues not from post-Soviet countries. It is aimed at confirmation of the uniqueness of social and professional values of a teacher, regardless of country they live, language they speak, and what political system rules in that country. The organizers of international cross-cultural study on teachers` social and professional values note that intellectual and civic values are on the last place in that conventional hierarchy, and that is a very interesting fact.
