Member of the Russian Academy of Education suggested that digital instruments and virtual reality are useful in the education of special-needs teachers

A seminar “Pedagogical and psychological support for children with an autistic spectrum disorder. Digital instruments of special education teachers” was conducted at Institute of Psychology and Education by Olga Kukushkina (Doctor of Education, professor, member of the Russian Academy of Education, head of the Inclusive education laboratory of Pushkin Leningrad State University).

Professor Olga Kukushkina said that “there is no point to look for answers to yesterday’s problems. We should anticipate the difficulties of future children with special needs and special education teachers. Thus, defectology education should be fully transformed. We need to learn how to develop digital tools for special needs students and to create the classification of digital instruments for special-needs student teachers”.
