‘Education in an Era of Risk – the Role of Educational Research for the Future’ was held on 2nd – 6th September.
Kazan University had one of the most sizable delegations, comprising Professors Valeeva, Sabirova and Zakirova, Associate Professors Baklashova, Kazakova, Savina, Sabirova and Khayrutdinov, Senior Lecturer Kayumova, Research Associates Semyonova and Khanolainen.
Ms. Baklashova’s report was headlined ‘Theory and Practice in Russian Teacher Education: The Case of KFU Master Programs.’ The University’s model was discussed and received some praise for its comprehensive character and practice-oriented approach.
Delegates Zakirova, Kayumova and Valeeva spoke on ‘The Model of Risk-oriented Teacher Training at Kazan Federal University.’
Finally, participants Semyonova and Khanolainen gave a presentation titled ‘Mapping Bullying Among Adolescents on a Cyberspace Orbit of an International Swiss Boarding School.’
Important agreements were reached during the forum, including those with universities of Australia and Scotland (University of Melbourne, Deakin University, University of New South Wales, University of St Andrews, and University of Glasgow).
Further risk and conflict studies are planned with Cardiff University and University of Verona.
Overall, KFU scientists covered a wide range of pedagogical issues, signifying the importance of this particular area within the current University’s development strategy.
